WHAT IS SUSTAINABLE IT ?

Sustainable IT means taking into account economic and environmental aspects throughout the lifecycle of IT products, from design to disposal.

Sustainable IT includes practices such as optimising energy consumption, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, energy-efficient design of equipment, use of sustainable and recyclable materials, and educating users about good practice.

IT asset recovery refers to the process of collecting and recycling obsolete or end-of-life IT equipment. Rather than throwing these devices away, the aim is to collect them, repair them if necessary, and put them back into circulation or recycle them appropriately. This is done after erasing the data. This helps to reduce electronic waste, save natural resources and limit the environmental impact of the IT industry.
